I went in with multiple serious and escalating symptoms and requested a comprehensive blood panel to help get answers. Despite explaining that I’m experiencing rapid physical changes (including hair loss, breast size asymmetry, daily weight loss and fatigue), the staff only ran a basic panel. I later called and was told this is their “protocol” — that a full panel is only done after a basic panel shows something abnormal.That is not acceptable when someone is seeking immediate care and answers. This is urgent care, not a routine physical with a primary doctor. If someone is explaining distressing, unexplained, and potentially serious symptoms, there should be an urgency to listen and take full labs — especially when the patient explicitly asks for it. I was dismissed, neglected, and my concerns were not taken seriously.I wasted time, money, and energy — and now I have to wait even longer to get proper answers from a my actual provider. I was told a patient advocate would get my feedback, but the harm has already been done.Avoid this clinic if you’re looking for compassionate, thorough care.▪️In response to Midwest Express Clinics response:(I cannot respond directly to the Clinic so i am editing the review).Thank you for your response. I understand this comment is part of standard follow-up protocol to ensure no review goes unanswered.That said, I want to be clear: I contacted your clinic yesterday again before returning to request a more thorough blood panel and was explicitly told I could come in for a full test. When I arrived, I was told something entirely different—that I would not be able to receive the full panel that I originally requested and paid for during my first visit. My time was wasted not once, but twice.Additionally, when I called and spoke with the manager today, I was informed that the clinic’s policy is to run a “basic” panel first, as if I were visiting a primary care doctor—despite the fact that this was an urgent care visit, and I communicated the severity of my symptoms and my need for a complete panel during my initial appointment. That is not a patient-centered approach and should not be the standard when someone is paying for a service, especially when serious health concerns are involved.The manager has since canceled any pending follow-up, and no further communication is needed. I’m sharing this response so future patients understand the full context, beyond your templated reply. I was dismissed, misinformed, and denied the testing I requested. I hope this feedback is taken seriously—not just acknowledged.

For a urgent care visit this was a great experience. For starters they have parking across the street with is amazing for the city. I was met by a very pleasant and efficient receptionist’s at the front desk, filled out initial paperwork, was triaged, and back in a exam room within 20 minutes. The N.P was very kind and informative. I walked out of there with what I needed and pleased.

The staff were amazing! No notes. Melanie was fantastic. She had excellent bedside manner and went above and beyond to make sure my child and I were comfortable. She even brought a box of ~giftbags with superhero masks, crowns, bubbles, etc to choose from. The person at the front desk was also extremely kind, personable, and helpful. Dr. Ben was also great. I felt like he listened and cared. It was hands down the best experience I have ever had at an urgent care facility and unfortunately I have many experiences

I had an excellent experience here, truly one of the best healthcare visits Ive had in a while. I want to especially recognize Ben, the provider who took care of me. He was absolutely fantastic.Ben was kind, attentive, and incredibly thorough. He took the time to listen to everything I was experiencing. He made me feel like I was in the hands of someone who genuinely cared. He explained everything clearly, didn’t rush through the visit, and made sure all my concerns were addressed before I left.It’s rare to find a provider who combines professionalism, expertise, and genuine compassion so effortlessly — but that’s exactly what he did. The rest of the staff was also courteous and efficient, and the entire visit was smooth from check-in to check-out.If you ever find yourself needing urgent care, I highly recommend this location. I arrived at this clinic just five minutes before closing on a Sunday, and the medical staff welcomed me with incredible kindness and dedication. I was truly impressed by the quality of care I received. Despite my limited English, they made every effort to understand and assist me. Everyone was so kind and attentive. A special thanks to medical assistant Lee and Dr. Paustian — they were absolutely wonderful! However, I believe the front desk service could be improved.Thank you so much!

To start off my review positive, the nurse and doctor we saw were phenomenal. They seem to really listen and care about our sick 8 month baby, and did all the testing quickly and gently with her. We were in an out quickly with a diagnosis and prescription which proved to help over the coming days.The negative experience was with reception. Right off the bat, she was extremely rude and frankly mean. We are from out of town and have not been in the clinic before, and when we asked our two questions about billing our insurance, and which insurance card we needed, she got upset with us for not knowing what she wanted. We even repeated back something she said to us, and upon realizing she was actually incorrect, she gave us more attitude from the fact she was wrong. No apology or any acknowledgment of what she said before. Traveling and having a sick baby can be stressful, and we did our absolute best trying to be efficient and clear with any questions we had (2), but the whole front desk reception experience was not helping our anxiety. My wife was in tears in the waiting room after just a two minute discussion, and I was still getting the same attitude when we left. We were about to walk out, but thankfully we didnt when our name was called because the nurse and doctor were great.Recommended for the care, do not recommend for the receptionist.

Dr. Christine and her assistant Mel were thorough in their examination, they made me feel safe and well taken care of. Everyone at the clinic is warm and welcoming. The news that she might be transferred to another location is devastating—not just for me, but for every patient who relies on her expertise, empathy, and unwavering support.From the moment I met Nurse Mel, she treated me with dignity and respect, something that isn’t always guaranteed in healthcare, especially for those of us struggling with mental health challenges. She didn’t just see me as another patient; she took the time to *listen* to me, to understand my fears, my history, and what I needed to heal. When I felt invisible or dismissed elsewhere, Mel made sure I felt *seen*.What sets her apart is her ability to blend professional excellence with genuine human connection. She remembers the small details—asking about my progress, checking in even on tough days, and advocating for me when I didn’t have the strength to advocate for myself. As a Black woman, she also understands the unique cultural and systemic barriers that can affect care, and she creates a safe space where I don’t have to explain or justify my struggles.Mental health care is hard. Hands down the best experience at urgent care ever. Not only was a staff, super knowledgeable and friendly but I was also in and out in less than 30 minutes. The amenities were fantastic and it was probably one of the cleanest clinics I’ve been to in Chicago. If you need care you won’t find any better than Melanie, Lisandra, Christine and Nalella. The staff and doctors are always so kind and reassuring. They listen and go extra mile to ensure that I get the best and most thorough treatment possible. I never feel stereotyped or not taken seriously. I trust the staff and I take me and my familys healthcare very seriously. I pay close attention to whether or not I think the healthcare staff truly cares about their patients, it is the main thing that I look at when I am deciding if I will continue going because I have no problem walking out and have done it! So yes , the whole staff at the Midwest location is top tier without fail and I greatly appreciate them!

I have had two strange experiences here. The first required a blood draw. The tech said I have great veins and proceeded to insert, remove, and reinsert the needle three times in one giant vein and ended up using a smaller vein for the blood draw. It was creepy.I forgot about this experience and booked with them today due to ear pain. After apologizing to the tech (I believe it was the same one) that she had to perform this gross procedure, she stabbed the inside of my ear very painfully saying that the ear wax would need to be soaked. The doctor/PA came in a minute later and removed it easily.

This very convenient urgent care clinic located near Wells/ Chicago is a true gem to get you feeling 100% better. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and the receptionist Ms. J quickly got me checked in and entered into the system.Five minutes later Arriel, the triage nurse, called me to the back and took my vitals. After 10 more minutes I was in the patient room and China, the practitioner, came in and discussed my medical issue. Two minutes later she removed the cotton call from my ear with a tool without any pain and I was out the door on my way to finish my day pain free. I so appreciate the assistance from everyone and this is the place to go if you need medical attention in the area.

The personnel my child and I visited today was exceptional. The moment we walked into the clinic, we were greeted with a professional friendly administrator that smiled and shared what the process would be as she pulled up our information. The nurse and Doctor were professional, efficient, kind and empathetic. This is going to be the clinic of choice going forward for me and my children.What a difference between this experience and the more established urgent care associated with the nearby hospital that we visited in the past due to necessity and lack of urgent care choices. We are all aware that AI, artificial intelligence, is becoming more prevalent in our lives but humans should not provide robotic experiences, especially, in the medical field.

After a1900 mile road trip to Chicago my husband and I landed up sick in the city. We visited Midwest Express Clinic on Chicago Ave., Chicago, IL where we were seen by Dr. Benjamin Paustian. He treated my husband and observed an abnormal condition. He immediately sent him to the Hospital to get lab work to rule out blood clots in his body due to my husbands symptoms, condition and length of travel time. He gave us the paperwork which we took to the Emergency Room, tests were performed and an abnormality showed up. Dr. Paustian called us back that evening before he left his clinic, just to find out how my husband was doing. He thoroughly explained the tests results, giving us the confidence, that, the abnormality was due to an infection and inflammation in my husbands body. Thank God no blood clot signs. Therefore, I thank Dr. Paustian for his dedication to his profession and the Humane side of him to reach out when we patients most need him. May God bless him always.

I truly haven’t felt worse than I have this week. I was hesitant to go to urgent care because of long lines, hidden fees, people pushing to get you out of the appointment. But this was truly the best urgent care experience I’ve ever had. The kind woman working the front desk and the nurses I was interacting with were all so compassionate and really cared about getting me feeling better. I don’t have family in Chicago so medical stuff can be really scary to tackle but having someone like the people at this center looking out for you and having your wellness front of mind was so calming. They were thorough, gave me what I asked for, talked me through everything. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Terrible experience. The woman on the phone is extremely rude and hung up the first call. Then when I had to call back because I still had not received an email she was even worse. On the day of my visit I had to wait almost 2 hours for a simple test.

Im an international visitor to Chicago and developed extreme lower back pain the day after I arrived. As I have international travel insurance, I called a few urgent care clinics to check that theyll accept self pay. My call got transferred from department to department and holding on call waiting for more than 30 minutes and still no human on the other side of the phone can answer my question. While searching online, my travel companion chanced upon Midwest Express - River North Chicago - we gave them a call and within minutes we got our reply that yes they accept self pay. We went straight to the clinic and I got my back treated. Thankful to all the staff - the receptionist, nurses and doctor. i would highly recommend.

Doctor was great but hard a few terrible experiences with the desk staff. One, the last was very hostile over the phone and in person. Also, I dropped off samples and they had me wait for a week for results and when I called, they said they never put in any order and don’t have samples lol

I had a toddler come down with an illness while we were traveling. Chicago is so big and I didnt have a car or know where to go or even if wed make it there before they closed. It was 5pm on a Sunday or course. Our home pediatrician wouldnt call in antibiotics with out a test so I found this place and said a prayer. The staff was incredibly friendly welcoming and efficient. We had no wait at all. Lee was so professional and calmed my babys anxiety and the NP we saw, Im so sorry I dont remember her name but she was originally from San Diego, went so far out of her way to find us a 24hr pharmacy (a rarity these days) and manually called the script in so we could get it faster. I really cant thank everyone enough. The infection my little had came on fast and furious and I was so scared. I hope you all see this. Thank you so much for your help. I apologize that I dont remember the name of the woman working receiving bc she was wonderful also. Every single person went out of their way to help us and I am eternally grateful. Thank you all so very much for taking care of us. Ps if you see this, the pharmacy had the prescription ready when we got there, no waiting and I gave her a dose while we were standing there. Shes much better today. THANK YOU!!!

I don’t think I will ever come here again. I came because I was extremely sick at 12, I told the lady that I’ve been here multiple times before I’ve been coming here since highschool!!! She said that she has nothing on file for me and they can’t take me because I didn’t have my ID. So I got on a train, went home, got my ID, came back. It was the same lady when I got back and when I gave her my ID she still said I have never been there and made me fill out paperwork. When that lady left I asked the other staff member why I had to fill out new papers… she said there is two accounts under my name. So First Lady didn’t listen to me nor take the time. Then after I left I asked for a doctors note at 2. It it 6:30. I called 5 times saying please I need a doctors note. First I was promised I’ll get it at 2, then I got put on hold for 25 minutes, then my call never got picked up? Then I was promised I would get it before 7 and I said I was promised this 3 times already. Now I’m on hold again for 15 minutes. What the hell is going on with these people and why is it run by people who lie? Don’t ever come here save your timeeeee

I had a great experience this past month at Midwest Express Clinic. My provider was Smruti. She has such a pleasant bedside manner and was very knowledgeable in all of her answers in my diagnosis. She had my medications filled right away. I’ll definitely return to this clinic because of her.

I had terrible food poisoning and was so sick. The two locations I went to before here were so rude and curt with me. I was so sick and almost in tears by the time I made it to this clinic. The person checking me in was so kind to me. The nurse that came and got me was very empathetic. I really appreciated being treated like a person. My PA was really patient and took time to speak with me. I had a nasty bout of food poisoning and they did a great job helping me to find relief. Couldn’t have had a better experience for the situation.

I went in with a bad cough and sneezy cold. The clinic took me in immediately,, tested for flu and covid, listened to my breathing, gave me a chest xray, read the xray and reported that I did not have pneumonia, gave me a subscription for musinex and an inhaler and sent me home, a happy camper. Perfect. It is very satisfying to have clear treatment, no antibiotic when an antibiotic is not called for and rapid care by competent people.

Wait time was short and the PA was efficient. Unfortunately the front desk staff was careless with the prescription. They told me the only pharmacy open was CVS so I agreed to pick it up there and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I left and called 5 minutes later to confirm the address of the CVS. When I arrived at the CVS, I learned not only had they failed to call it in to CVS, but they called it in to Walgreens after they advised me earlier it was closed. No Walgreens pharmacy in the city is open today and Midwest Express is closed so I have no way of getting the prescription until tomorrow.

The schedule ahead option kept crashing, and the parking lot across the street is confusing (signs say parking for Midwest Express but also say permit required in every spot).However, I was in and out in about an hour on a Thursday morning even though they were short staffed, and had advised us of potential long wait.Most importantly, they accept Medicaid. Thanks for making medical care accessible!Update: still excellent a year+ later! Parking lot is quite cramped though; plan ahead for some car maneuvering.

Highly recommend this urgent care! It is very clean & the staff is very nice & efficient. I walked in & did not have an exceptionally long wait. I booked an appointment a day in advance knowing I may have to wait, to my surprise when I walked in I was immediately greeted asked my name and was asked to have a sit and that I was all set. I was called up in under a minute and was treated with such compassion, understanding, and professionalism. At one point I unfortunately had to take a call however when I stepped out of my room I was immediately assisted by another incredible professional. While I assume every employee here goes above and beyond I would like to recognize Kristana, Mel, Adaliz, Smurti, Inari, and Feride for their absolute professionalism and kindness. My very 1st visit. Walk-ins accepted on a Sunday morning. Awesome!! Just the word Clinic wasnt expecting much. But to my surprise exceeded my expectations. Professional but, sleek stylish like lounge chairs strategically scattered around the waiting room with a complimentary Keurig Coffee machine. The receptionist was very prompt, courteous and professionally. The only other distraction was how attractive my doctor was. Dr. Cescolini Corinne. She was Amazing Thank you!!!!

Extremely rude customer service. Melanie on 11/14 repeatedly talked over me while I had questions. Cut me off and answered incorrectly. Just trying to understand what services were offered kept say x ray closed and thats fine to any questions I asked. I will not be seeking services here ever again. I asked her why she was being so rude stated because she had 5 patients. And then proceeded to place the call on MUTE until I hung up. I attempted to call back to speak with a manager was place immeditately on hold. Filed a report on her on their website. It was that terrible for no reason whatsoever.

In from Boston for a family wedding that eve, I was experiencing a sudden, continuing swelling in both my ankles. I opted to go to this local urgent care clinic to be evaluated. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis, but lucky for me there were only 2 were ahead of me.Within the next 10 min I completed registration information, triaged by a nurse and assigned an exam room. The doctor soon followed. He asked questions, was easy to talk to and his exam was thorough. He advised to buy & wear compression sox ASAP which will immediately reduce the swelling (edema) caused from flying. I was in and out in 30 min!! Very satisfied and highly recommend this clinic.

Its a very transactional clinic. After my visit, they said they would send my invoice and medical report by email at the end of the day, but they never sent the documents (which I urgently needed for travel insurance purposes) and they failed to respond to my follow up emails. I ended up having to call twice, then physically visit the clinic again the next day, yet they still werent able to send me the documents. I cannot recommend this place at all.

If I could give this zero stars I absolutely would. I started by making an online placeholder for the morning. I got there only about three people in there besides me, and were told they were running behind. Ended up being seen an hour later was taken to a room and given a Covid, flu and strep test. I was then told a doctor would be in shortly. I proceeded to be left alone in the room for over an hour with no one stopping by. As my boyfriend in the lobby informed me everyone who came in before me, and after was already done. Someone finally came in another half hour later, and I proceeded to go through all my symptoms again. I was told that it was allergies or a basic cold, and I did not need antibiotics (keep in mind I’ve already been sick over two weeks). I went home then proceeded to feel worse, and was admitted to the ER two days later. It turns out I did in-fact need antibiotics, and if anyone had listened to my lungs or symptoms could have easily told me I had pneumonia which I was diagnosed with at the ER. Literally go anywhere else especially if you are actually sick.

I came in over a week ago and it’s been an extremely frustrating experience trying to get my results. I was told I’d receive an email when they were ready—nothing came. I called the clinic multiple times and was promised a call back, which never happened. Then, I was told my results were available on the Quest Diagnostics website, but they weren’t there either.After calling yet again, I was told I’d get an email today with my results. Surprise surprise—still nothing. It has been incredibly frustrating to see such poor communication and follow up when it comes to something as important as health.

Came to get my Annual TB test for my job. I did not make an appointment and just walked in. I did have a bit of a wait and had to leave and come back. Once I came back, they got me in right away for the blood draw. I would recommend making an appointment Especially if you are coming in after work hours when it tends to get much busier. Staff was very nice, including Connie who was my phlebotomist. I’ve had her before and she is funny and no nonsense.

I have been to this urgent care twice within 5 days and have received very professional and efficient care both times. In and out with a script placed in less than an hour. The front desk staff were also very helpful!Their hours are wonderful and I’ve been able to be seen by a professional within minutes both for a walk in and a regular appointment. My first visit here was after being turned away from two other urgent cares in the area who were no longer accepting walk ins for the evening. It was such a relief that MEC providers were able to see me rather than leading me to spending the evening in the emergency room or my symptoms worsening.My only wish is that they provided an after-care summary of sorts for patients to follow when they leave.

I had to go here a few weeks ago, it was conveniently located close to work and had good reviews. I had to pay first which I thought was odd, then after seeing the doctor who wanted to order some extra cultures, I said fine sure. I was not notified that they will not give you your results with out paying for another appt nor did they let me know when the results were in. Now if your a doctor ordering tests for patients, part of your job is to give results. They will put your results in the portal but sorry I dont speak medical lingo. I have lost all faith in the medical community because they clearly can not be bothered to do their job.

I had a fever and congestion for 5 days so i decided it was time to go to urgent care. I had recently been traveling and my travel companion was also sick and was told by her doctor she had a sinus infection and was given antibiotics to clear it up quickly (and it did). They refused to test or treat me for an infection and insisted I had a virus. I left with nothing but cough syrup. I ended up having a fever for another week and congestion for weeks.The $480 bill I received today also just states medical services without a breakdown of what I am actually paying for. They also require you to sign a form that they will autocharge your credit card card on file which isnt disclosed until you get there and this is also weird since they dont break down your services on your bill.The doctor was polite but the rest of the staff were quite rude. Gave 2 stars for location and I was able to get in right away - although it was a pretty pointless appointment for $480.

Terrible customer service. I went in because I have some skin tags that I need to be removed. The front desk employee said that she doesn’t think that they perform this service into their location. Well there is a sign on her front desk listing all services provided in this location and the skin tag/wart removal was listed among those services. I pointed this out to her and was like: “Oh yeah. So we remove skin rags then”. Then she proceeded to tell me that they are super busy and the wait time will be about one hour and a half at least. Yet I see only two people in the waiting room. Then she told me that they only have one provider and that I can just go to a different location. I asked if she knows whether the skin tags are being removed by cutting them off or burning them and she said that she doesn’t know. I am wondering what did she know in this case because she seemed like she didn’t know anything. She didn’t know that they provide the service, neither she knew how the service is performed. What does she know? Since how long she is working there and what is she getting paid for? She pretty much talked to me like she didn’t want to check me in and to let me receive the service and she was trying to send me away. This is by far the worst customer service I have received in a medical clinic.

I went in for tests and they never called me back. I called back to follow up a couple weeks later and ask for medication to be prescribed, and they said they wouldn’t prescribe it and I’d have to come back in, which I said I would absolutely not do. I was then placed on and off hold for over 30 minutes, after which they said the provider would prescribe me. They didn’t ask what my pharmacy is, I had to follow up about that too.Update: months later and I received a random bill from my insurance even though I paid out of pocket. The clinic said they had fixed it, but I keep getting the bill.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. The site is clear that you cannot secure an appointment online, but it also says “Please fill out the form to check in and hold your spot in line.”, so I assumed I would be in the queue before showing up by registering online. It also gives you the option to enter a lead time and “We’ll send you a text message when it’s time to show up.” I did all that, and am waiting at home for a text, but nothing. I call the office to understand the process, the receptionist immediately apologies and says the site is very misleading, that you don’t actually enter the queue until you show up in person. Registering just lets them know you’re coming. Clearly this happens a lot. I wasted time registering online when I could have gone there and immediately been in the queue, and done registration there. I chose instead to go to NW urgent care who at least is honest about the process on their web page.

My first time here. The office was very clean. The woman who checked me in was very nice and answered all my questions. I only waited about 15 minutes. The nurse practitioner explained all the test results and was very personable and empathetic to my symptoms. Would definitely come back in the future.

Was not feeling well for about 8 days (flu symptoms). Finally had enough on Christmas Eve about 2 am coughing and couldn’t sleep. Went on line and made an appt for 8:15 am that morning. (Super easy). Walked in they had my info. Tested for flu results in 15 minutes. . Had severe sinusitis Since I had the symptoms over a week she prescribed a z-pac. Sent over prescription to my cvs. Picked up that morning. Bottom line that took care of me and it was easy process they are very professional. Highly recommend. Back to normal and feel great.

I have been calling the clinic all day and have been lied to, & encountered rude service multiple times today from the staff. Professionalism aren’t existent via phone the service I received was uncivil. If anything is needed from this clinic it has to be completed in person. I definitely do not recommend.

Today is the 6th day, still no email.I called multiple times but the lady who answered the phone referred me to an online portal, put me on hold then dropped the call shortly after.Sadly I was unable to enroll on the platform, called again, the receptionist took down my information but refused to check if my results were ready.. her excuse? “She wasn’t as a computer” & I will be emailed if anything comes up.I paid too much money out of pocket to receive such terrible treatment.I have been to other locations in the past and got MUCH better service.

Every question I had was answered and I didn’t have too long of a wait in their front lobby - 5 minutes. I suspect I arrived during one of their slow times. 4pm on a Sunday. I visited Midwest Express when I was feeling super sick this past week. I didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes for both of my visits (regardless of having an appointment) to get seen by a provider. The providers were incredibly kind, communicative and open to any of my questions. They were able to quickly take a X-ray in-office which is i’d say is pretty rare considering I was a walk-in. The whole process was seamless. They efficiently filled any necessary prescriptions immediately and personally called me with any test results. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m feeling under the weather!

So we were out of towners going to see the white Sox vs. the Tigers. On the way my 14 year old tripped on the escalator & busted his knee. He was more concerned about the baseball game but I convinced him to go to first aid where he was diagnosed with a trip to the hospital for stitches. He was not happy & there was no way I was taking him to a hospital in downtown Chicago. My friend googled urgent cares in the area & my boy & I miraculously found our way to MES. They were very friendly, patient, helpful & quick at the front desk. The assistant & physician were also very friendly & caring. My boy got 4 stitches in his knee, got bandaged up & we were headed back to our spring break festivities before missing out on too much & trauma free, which is the best part.

Ben was so nice and helpful, he told me exactly what medicine to get and explained the medicine he was calling in for me. He was very patient with my scatter brained questions. I love this clinic! They are open on the weekends which happens to be the time that my kids decide to get sick. They are friendly and very professional. Their prices are very reasonable and the best part is that they accept walk-ins. No waiting two weeks for a doctors appointment when you have some infection that needs attention now. Where do I start, in this clinic there is absolutely no empathy for the patient. We have tried during the last 3 days to change medication, a simple call to the farmacy would have fixed the issue, after being told the physician assistant Benjamin Paustun was aware and the meds were changed, going to the pharmacy twice was frustrating. We couldnt be more disappointed with all the receptionists that answered our calls, the kept placing us on hold until the system kicked out. This review is not a reflection of the staff nor the practitioners in this facility- it’s more so about greedy and shady practices that I’mLeaving this reviews . I contracted an STI through a Fwb - specifically gonnorhea. I only have a consistent Fwb and sleep with no one else so i was sure i contracted gonnorhea. I went in to the office get the treatment required. Even though i expressed that i only wanted to get tested for gonnorhea/chlamydia the nurse was insistent i get other sti tests. They wet insistent on testing me for other STIs and i agreed with the expedition of hiv as im on prep and there is virtually no chance i got it. , after i got tested and treatment i was was informed that i would have to come back to receive my test results from a practitioner (so they could again charge me again for visiting ).A month later i got my lab bill in the mail and over $150 in fees. What really Pisses me off is that i got tested for HIV and creatine , which was not consulted. The kicker is that i did not get to see any other test results given their greedy policy. If you have a STI please consider visiting a free clinic such as Howard brown, the practices here are very greedy and they will run several unnecessary tests to fill their pockets

Extremely satisfied with the services receive at Midwest Express Clinic. The staff and providers were very friendly and professional. I brought my sons here for rapid Covid test and the provider administered with extra care. Results we’re back within 10 minutes. Office is very clean. I highly recommend!

Medical staff is great is for this type of office. Admin could use work on scheduling. Had a follow up time set and called ahead to ensure wouldnt have to wait (work day), but was told I had to start from the back of the walk in line upon arriving. Ultimately after an hour had to leave.

I wish I could remember their names to personally mention them/thank them , but they made me feel so cared for in a really difficult situation. Staff was so nice and welcoming. Made me feel at ease taking a covid test. I was so scared and anxious but the doctor was nice she made me feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend coming here! I cannot give a review past the front desk staff. They may have good medical care, however I cannot rate that. My rating and experience of this place is solely based on the interactions with two young ladies sitting at the front desk. Prior to coming into the urgent care, I called the insurance company to verify which locations were in network for the insurance to cover. I was specifically told that this particular location was in network and would be fully covered for my 7yr old son to be seen. I then traveled to this particular location for my sick son to receive treatment. As we entered into the facility there was a young lady sitting at the front desk, not friendly at all. Which is surprising considering that you are the first point of contact when people are entering. I tell her that my son needs to be seen, and that I had already did the online check in, I even showed her the email that I received confirming that the check in was completed. She tells me that they have no record of it being done. I then have to give her the information all over again. She tells me that there is a past due balance from a previous visit, and they can’t see my son. I tell her that I was not aware of this, but fine, I’ll pay the balance because my son is in pain and needs to be seen. She comes back and says to me, I can’t verify your insurance on my computer, so you need to call them, we don’t call insurance. Which is very strange, I’ve never encountered such horrible customer service and to say that you can’t verify the insurance any other way because it’s not coming up on your computer??? She then sarcastically says, I can’t know if urgent care is covered on the insurance. By this point I reach someone from the insurance company and they are just as confused as I am. There is now two rude young ladies sitting at the front desk, unprofessional, laughing amongst each other as my 7yr old sits in pain. As a mother, I’m furious that my child is still not receiving any care. I show them his insurance information, as well as pull up the account coverage that shows where urgent care is covered, and that their location is on there. They still refuse to see my very son in this urgent care! And yes, as a BLACK MOTHER, of a BLACK SON, being the only two BLACK people in the entire place, and one of the young ladies telling me that I can just leave and take my son some place else, this situation absolutely does not sit well with me. No child should ever be refused medical care, for any reason!

For at least the last 5 years, this has been my go to place for any medical issue that pops up for me and my kids. I know itll take days to get into our primary doctor yet I can go here for unexpected issues and be seen immediatedly. Ive never had to wait longer than 15 minutes without an appointment. I have gone here for everything from a severe cold to a sprained ankle to an infected wound. Its clean, friendly and efficient. The doctors are great and overall its a godsend to have this place close by.

I came in for a COVID test. I love that you’re able to check in online. The clinic was pretty busy (Thursday around 12pm), but I was still seen quickly and the staff continuously apologized for the wait even though it was not necessary because I understood. Everyone was so polite.Definitely the best urgent care visit I’ve ever had!

I had a concussion and I went here. Im a 20 yr old college student and dont have much money right now and Im under my moms insurance. The receptionist told me that my insurance was taken and then 2 weeks later I get multiple people calling my phone, saying I owe over 200! I dont have this and they literally keep spamming me, after telling me it was handled. If that was the case i wouldve never came here. Be upfront and dont lie to customers just trying to get simple medical treatment. Its not that hard to verify the insurance before hand and just tell me no. Some people dont have it like that right now. Be considerate.

Honestly, one of the best urgent cares I have been to, ever. And probably one of the best experiences that I’ve had with someone listening and actually trying to rule out all illnesses. Dr. Joanna Giza took her time to find out what was wrong with me. After doing several tests that all came back negative she continues to ask questions and look into my ears etc. and then prescribed medicine that actually worked. I really appreciated the thoroughness that the Dr took. They also got me in quickly with a walk in . And I loved that they had a TV in the results room, so I got to watch Bravo! Which is also a huge win.

EDIT: they gave me a free voucher to go in and get my toes fixed. And of course because the visit was free, they refused to operate, stating that the toe had to be fixed by a specialist. Funny how they could operate on me when I was paying!To reiterate again, don’t come here for anything other than to get a Covid test or something simple. I don’t think I’d trust them either with a pregnancy test at this point!———————————Don’t come here.I went in to get my 3 of my ingrown toenails removed. That was 3 weeks ago. I went back in 2 more times and each time the doctors said my toes “looked fine” despite them being infected STILL after 2 rounds of antibiotics.I had to go back for the 4th time again today because apparently, the first doctor completely bungled removing my nails, and left pieces of the nail behind in 2 of the sides, and didn’t even properly remove the ingrown on another side. And on this 4th visit, I had to tell them I suspected there was a foreign object causing the infection! They wouldn’t have figured it out…In total my visits cost me $545 out of pocket. It would have been cheaper and better health wise for me to have gone to a podiatrist who would do it right in the beginning. Now I have to spend the holidays stuck in bed rest.

Highly recommend! I have been going since they opened under new management and the experience has been amazing. They accept walk-ins so its very convenient for my schedule. Theyre online portal is super easy to check-in and get in line ahead so that you dont have to wait. The staff is very friendly and they are very helpful to all my (annoying) questions. Everything is digital so from checking-in, lab results, future appointments and prescriptions they send everything directly to the necessary location and by email. This saves me soo much time in not having to take samples or prescriptions physically and then wait for them.Doctors and nurses are very well trained and explain everything before doing any procedure. Additionally, they dont just prescribe based on assumption they run thorough tests before any medication to ensure proper diagnosis and medication needed.

Went in for a rapid COVID test after reserving a spot in line. My time was 11:25, was seen around 11:50, and out no later than 12:15. The office is very clean and the staff are all VERY nice. I often find it hard to feel comfortable with medical professionals but each person here was kind and informative.

I have frequented this clinic over the years of living downtown Chicago and have never had any negative experience, until my visit yesterday. I showed up in a lot of pain and the front desk and nursing staff were very pleasant/helpful during my visit, however the provider I saw (Dr. Kyle) was the most uncomfortable and unprofessional healthcare provider I’ve ever had in my life. His lack of knowledge and level of immaturity when it comes to human anatomy was truly disappointing. I will not be coming back again after leaving yesterday.

I had an incredibly positive experience at this clinic. We are here from out of town and I had an accident in our hotel room. I chose Midwest Express mainly from a Google search and because they had available scheduled times (meaning no wait). They were all incredibly friendly, comforting, and professional, and that includes the receptionist, nursing staff, and doctor. They all comforted me and expertly treated my wound. The receptionist even helped my husband and I with a restaurant selection as we were leaving (which was great, too!). I didn’t know what to do and was worried about my injury, and Midwest helped me in every way. I cannot thank them enough!

This was the most pleasantly surprising express clinic visit I’ve ever had. I showed up 20 minutes before my scheduled time and they got me right in. I went in for stomach pain, and they are prepared with a multitude of tests, which they got done very quickly. Felt like they had as many resources as a hospital but moved at 10x the speed.Only knock is I put my pharmacy info in when I checked jn, and then verbally confirmed the pharmacy with the front desk, and they still sent it to the wrong place. So double check that when you’re in, but the level of service still warranted 5 stars.

Going to an urgent care center never makes me feel happy. This place on the other hand was wonderful. The staff was super welcoming (the woman at the front desk in particular) the whole process was quick, efficient and as thorough as going to my primary care doctor. I was visiting from out of state. I used the online check-in to reserve my place in line. This helped things move quickly. The doctor was very helpful. Take note if you have sinus/cough symptoms you will be swabbed for covid and flu. It was a deep nasal swab not once, not twice, not three times, but four times in a row. The facility was clean and efficient.

I was not really sure what to expect but was anticipating a scary little clinic next the train tracks or something. This place was very clean and nice and the staff were professional and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable and was treated incredibly fast. I checked in online and setup an appointment and only spent about five minutes in the lobby.
